Domain Name Purchase:

We can arrange to buy and set up a new Domain Name for you and have it Hosted with a reputable company called Netcetera. This costs £70 + VAT per annum. We have an excellent working relationship with Netcetera and use them for all of our Domain Names and Hosting.

A Domain Name is the name (or address) given to a website on the Internet that is recognisable to human beings, such as www.holidayhomewebs.co.uk. Every website on the Net has it's own unique Domain Name.

If you ask us to supply a Domain Name for you, we will take into account the following information:

  • Your Company Name e.g. Shaw Veterinary Centre
  • Your type of organisation e.g. Company or Charity
  • The country where you are based. e.g. the UK

We will then try to buy a name that:

  • Reflects this information
  • Is easy to Remember
  • Is easy to Spell
  • Is not already in use

As a general rule, .co.uk domain names signify companies in the UK whereas .com signifies a company in the USA. We would suggest buying BOTH of these domains to ensure that your visitors can find you easily and your competitors don't use the other name for themselves.
